VINCE MURDOCK: SHORT BIO (~100 WORDS) Vince Murdock is the founder of Miles for Moyamoya, a nonprofit raising awareness and research funding for moyamoya disease. A professional MMA fighter with a 12-6-0 record (9 KO/TKO) out of Team Alpha Male in Sacramento, Vince competed in Bellator, on Dana White's Contender Series, and on The Ultimate Fighter Season 29 (Team Ortega). In September 2019 he was diagnosed with moyamoya disease. On 13 November 2019, Dr. Gary Steinberg performed an eight-hour brain bypass at Stanford. Vince was the first professional athlete to undergo moyamoya surgery. He returned to pro MMA on 4 November 2020 and is now a Ventum Racing sponsored endurance cyclist, founder of the Enjoy Cycling Club, and an Unbound XL 350-mile finisher. Last updated: 25 May 2026.
